The best thing about breeding and showing Yorkshire Terriers is not the show ribbons and trophies but the bonds of friendship formed on my showing travels and when my puppies go to new homes where they are loved and cherished in the same way as I love and cherish their parents. It’s wonderful to receive news of all the Yetholme Yorkies who’ve gone to show and pet homes around Australia and across the oceans. Let me share some of the family updates I’ve received in recent months. June 2001 From Barbara Aitcheson of Lane Cove, NSW, Australia, whose family is now owned by Yethome Wings O Faith. Hello Jan, I just wanted to let you know how Wings is going - she settled in with the family like a duck to water. She is so lovely & just perfect for us, the bonding seems to be mutual because after only an hour at home she was growling & chasing birds from the deck, and barking at the doorbell!! She loves her doggie home and pops in there when she wants a bit of peace for a snooze, that's her little refuge. My kids love her and she's picking up some games very quickly. All in all, she's just a delight and we are very grateful to have her. I hope you are okay. You are doing a wonderful thing you know, bringing all those beautiful, bright eyed treasures into the world. It must hurt a bit parting with them. I still think about that crazy little pup but wouldn't part with Wings for anything. Thanks once again for her - we love her very much and couldn't imagine life without her.
Kind Regards, Barbie Hello Jan, Wings was at the vet today, he gave her a clean bill of health and said she was a 'lovely, healthy little animal', was very surprised that you were parting with her actually. She was quite a little ham, playing up to the receptionist and waiting room - everyone got a rapturous welcome. She is booked in for tomorrow for the desexing operation and the vet expects all to go well - hope you aren't missing her too much! Kind regards, Barbie |

July 1999 From J. & M. Bilic, West Hoxton, NSW, Australia, who are family to Yetholme Why Surrender. Well, Timmy is the most adorable little fella, he is gorgeous, he has the loveliest nature, and always wants cuddles. He is no trouble, and is a great mate for Cindy, our other Yorkie, who is nearly four years old, and they play for ages together. I want to thank you so much, for letting us have the pleasure of Timmy in our lives. August 2000 From Edwina & Criss, Victoria, Australia, whose little girl is Yetholme Autumn Tryst Well, our little girl Cleo has settled in really well. We took her out on Saturday to the local shopping centre and lots of people stopped to pat her and ask questions. She really loved the attention. Not a bit of trouble bathing or drying, so thanks for that. The bow in the hair is a challenge but we will get the hang of it, I’m sure. Must go now and have some fun with Cleo. She is sleeping in her igloo, such a shame to wake her but then again, might mean she will be awake during the night. No. Gonna wake her now and play! November 2000 From Mrs B. Montgomery, Carlton, NSW, Australia, ‘Mum’ to Yetholme Bold Surrender. Just an update with a few photos of our darling Beau, who recently turned two years, just to show you his progress. He has a delightful nature, very friendly and affectionate my little lap dog but also he is very alert and lively. He is not a yappy dog, but certainly lets us know if the phone rings. He lets us know if anyone or anything is around, but without a lot of yapping. As you can see he is only quite small but knows how to assert his authority over us and has us doing his bidding! |

June 2001 From Colin & Britta Bruce, North Rocks, NSW, Australia We are going great. Tala (Yetholme Wild For Gold) and Toby (Yetholme Has To Be Mink) are so close to each other, and play, play and play. Toby is sogentle and loving. We thought we were lucky with Toby. Seeing how Tala is developing, there is something that you are doing very right at Yetholme. She is so intelligent, quick, and yet part of the team. |

July 2001 Dear Jan, Just wanted you to know we love our little ‘Nelson Mandela’ more than words can describe!!! He is so well behaved and intelligent. He is learning his house training skills very well. The weather has been so wet & cold I do not blame him for being discouraged to go outside. He is such a joy. Thank you again for raising such BEAUTIFUL puppies!!!!!! It is a miracle!
Fondly, Karen P.S. This big city is such a hassle, I still do not have a working phone or fax or computer at the new house! Had to go to an internet cafe to get this to you! Stay warm! |
